Risin og Kellingin, meaning Giant and the Witch, are two sea stacks off the coast of Eysturoy island. Their height is 71 meters (232 ft) and 68 meters (223 ft). The name relates to an ancient legend that tells the story of the stacks origin, #TroveOn #TakeAHike

The village of Gjogv sits right on the coast of Eysturoy, with a small gorge nearby and imposing flat-topped mountains in the distance.
Visiting the Faroe Islands during the summer months? If you're coming in July, be sure to get yourself to Syðrugøta (or, just Gøta, as most locals call it) for the G! Festival.

This intimate music festival draws both local and international acts each year and takes place on a beach! I'm not sure you can find a better festival location.
The village of Funningur (on the road to Gjogv) is not only in an epic location, but legend has it that it was where the very first Viking to come to the Faroes settled.
